My Amazing Singing Christmas Tree

The other day I bought from Netto, for £4.99, an amazing singing Christmas tree. Unfortunately as I turned the tree upside down to put the batteries in, I knocked the glowing star from the top. However, this is the tree just taken from it's box:

It starts out as a little squatty thing, but at the touch of a button, it magically comes to life and starts growing and flashing ...

... and flashing and growing ...

... and growing and flashing ...

... until it is fully grown. Then apart from the flashing, it starts to sway and dance and sing Jingle Bells in a bellowing American accent and ends up by wishing me a Happy New Year!

So now all that's left is for me to wish all my friends who read my blog, a very Happy Solstice, a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. If I had the technology I would have recorded Mr Tree singing to you!

Rather a good repair job with a bandage, don't you think?

This is really weird, all the links of my blog to yours, and this is so on other blogs as well! I don't know what in the world is going on!

Some tree you got there. I wish they all grew that fast and then would stop like that (what fun!). Though actually I am quite amazed at the trees my mother planted, well over 100, and just how large they loom in the yard over there now (they didn't stop growing!). Like a park, my wife Deb says. Anyhow that's the kind of tree to have. It comes up with decorations on it already, and even a song!

But a blessed and merry Christmas to you and yours, Lorenzo! Hope your day is extra special, and may God help us all to reflect on the meaning of the coming of Jesus and what that means for us and for the world here and now as well as forever.
