Badger meets Allan

Jack, Miki and Allan flew into Manchester airport yesterday evening. Allan was irritible because he hadn't been very well and the journey had been tiresome. However, when he met Badger he changed into a happy little boy!

Badger wasn't sure quite what to make of Allan, but she ended up by giving him a lick of approval.

Scaredy, on the other hand, dislikes children intensly, so he fled.

Jack, Miki and Allan are over from Japan for two weeks, so I hope many more photos will follow.

Ha! And, why is it that cats feel that can sit on top of everything? LOL.

I look forward to seeing you all at the weekend!

How fun! You'll have a wonderful time. Is he walking yet?

lorenzothellama said...

Yes, he is roaring about all over the place. He adores Badger!!

Scaredy sits on top on anything he can. If I leave anything out, he sleeps on it. He sits on all the equipment and often sets the scanner off!

Maalie, you be careful if you tease Allan. He's only a baby, don't you know!

Beady: I will do your tag soon, only at the moment I am caught up with family!

No worries, Lorenzo, I'll take care of the bed-time reading. I'll bring Selected Essays of Richard Dawkins. You can't start too early.

lorenzothellama said...

Right Maalie, we will look forward to it. I'll listen in too and maybe learn something!

Do you pay Scaredy, Lorenzo? It looks as if he's after the job of household secretary.

I think you shall have to provide a family tree with all the different Alun, Allun, Allen, Alen, Alan, Allan, lets see - is there any other way to spell it?

I have trouble keeping them straight so I need a flow chart!! I think I shall ask Maalie to make me one up since flow charts and diagrams should be a specialty of his!

And then there is the issue of which ones belong to you and which to him!!

Have a wonderful celebration and the happiest of birthdays!! Were I there, I'd join in the fun!! And, I'd throw sticks for Badger and "bump" the babies too (its a Southern form of rocking, it's just done in a ladder back chair, so the chair "bumps" rather than rocks - worked like a charm on many a colicky one of mine!)

Maalie, following your discourse on Dawkins elementary stuff such as Higgs boson, how about following up with some Edward Lear.

Now, how does that go?

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe'

Ahhh, it's such a shame that children grow up.

I so loved scaring mine to sleep each night :-)

The surprise is that they turned out so normal!

Where did I go wrong?

lorenzothellama said...

Rob, I thought that was Lewis Carrol?

Rob Windstrel Watson said...

Oh yeah, I knew I'd gone wrong somewhere :-)

Next you'll be telling me Higgs boson is not a shipmate of Dawkins :-(

(Actually, to tell you the truth, it just goes to show how one can misuse Google - or at least I can. Being rather tired at the end of the day, i did actually check the reference by typing in 'twas brillig' etc and Edward Lear. They came up in the same search link and I didn't open the page to read further.)

As my son would say 'my bad'! I'd better go to bed ...

Nightie night ...

Now where's my copy of Dawkins by Higgs Boson?

Maalie said...

Rob, yes, Higg's Boson is as much fun as Buckminster Fullerine!

Rob Windstrel Watson said...

Ahhhh, Maalie, the Buckyball!

Such a wonderful new discovery. I stand in awe of our scientists. They are the best of people and so little revered and rewarded which means our youngsters don't want to emulate them and so drop science as soon as they are allowed.

But now we have the Buckyball which is so little boy friendly.

Imagine teaching him to bend the Buckyball like Beckham :-)

lorenzothellama said...

Who the buggeration is buckyball?

lorenzothellama said...

Just followed Maalie's link for buckyball. It looks very tedious if you don't mind me saying so.

Lorenzo, did Scaredy leave because he dislikes children or because he's a scaredy-cat?

I'm sorry to say I am not in the video at all. I don't work on helicopters

Freaky, I was just quoting Jabberwocky last night. Maybe soon we'll all be able to communicate telepathically without the use of computers?

Apart from V.W who only communicates in blood coated bucky balls.

I think Scaredy is waiting for the phone to ring. perhaps he's ordered a pizza and thy're calling him back when it's ready?

lorenzothellama said...

I think Scaredy is waiting for the phone to ring from Plumpy asking him to stay in New Zealand while all these children are about!

hey I hear you are having a birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORENZO!!

lorenzothellama said...

Why thank you kind sir! I don't want to think about my birthday. I have recently bought some 'old hag cream' to try to erase the signs of the slings and arrows of my mis-spent life.

Rob Windstrel Watson said...

Happy Birthday dear Llama.

We shall sing a drunken song in your honour around the camp fire tonight at Cafe Hopcott with Wandering Minstrel in the lead and Dacky the Dachshund singing soprano (well he got trodden on ... in a sensitive place).

*HUGS*

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORENZO!!!

Hope you have a nice warm birthday, or actually I guess your day is winding down. Hope you are having a very special day, and I imagine you are!

Sara said...

Sod it. I missed your birthday Lorenzo, but if it's any comfort I spent Saturday night at a party getting utterly plastered. It must have been your alcoholic birthday vibes influencing me. Hope you had a good time!.

Halfmom, AKA, Susan said...

SO - did you have a wonderful birthday - and are all the babies gone? Have you recouperated yet?

Can't wait to see more pictures!

Halfmom, AKA, Susan said...

Still waiting on those pictures - is hubby making you work too hard again so you haven't time to post - BAD HUBBY!

Spring may have come to Chicago finally - althought it SNOWED last Sunday. So perhaps I'll cut shrubs today!
