Tagging

I've been tagged by Halfmom aka Susan. Sorry it's taken a bit of a while to do this. My first effort somehow got deleted and since then I have been too busy with my compost heap to spend any time tapping away.

It's a good deal smaller since that photo was taken.

Rules of this tag: 1) Name the person with link who tagged you. 2) Complete the questionnaire without changing the questions. 3) Tag 6 or more people.

Q1. Are you happy/ satisfied with your blog, with its content and look?
A. Mmmm ... So, so.

Q2. Does your family know about your blog?
A. Yes.

Q3. Do you feel embarrassed to let your friends know about your blog or you just consider it as a private thing?
A. No not at all. It's the other way round. I nag them to read it.

Q4. Did blogs cause positive changes in your thoughts.
A. No.

Q5. Do you only open the blogs of those who comment on your blog or you love to go and discover more by yourself.
A. I go off reading all sorts of blogs, some full of nonsense and some brilliant. At first I just stuck to blogs belonging members of my family but then I started getting more confident and going elsewhere.

Q6. What does visitors' counter mean to you? Do you care about putting in in your blog?
A. I like to read the counter and look at the red splodges on the map where people come from. I would like to have one of those little ones on the front but don't know how to get one put on.

Q7. Did you try to imagine your fellow bloggers and give them real pictures?
A. Some of the people I visit have their photos on their blog sites, but others don't. I don't like my photo on mine much. Llamas are very shy don't you know. Unfortunately Maalie broke my cover and put a photo on his blog. I once had an anonomous visitor who refused to leave his name, and in the end I was forced to delete his comments when he became spiteful about one of my commentators. I had a pretty good idea what he
looked like though:

Q8. Do you think there is a real benefit for blogging?
A. Oh yes, certainly. I have made really terrific friends through this blog from many countries and I would certainly never have made them without it, except perhaps for Simon the Ozzy. I met him in May at a family party in Spain.

Q9. Do you think that bloggers' society is isolated from real world or interacts with events?
A. I'm sure that some bloggers are in a world of their own, but hey, what's wrong with that? My cat writes comments to other cats, other cats write back. Course we live in reality.

This is Plumpy, Scaredy's best friend. They make plans to travel to visit each other.

Q10. Does criticism annoy you or do you feel it's a normal thing?
A. Normal thing? Would you say that my trigger finger itching is a normal thing?

Q11. Do you fear some political blogs and avoid them?
A. Of course I don't fear them! I just avoid them as generally they are so uninteresting.

Yawn, yawn, yawn.

Q12. Did you get shocked by the arrest of some bloggers?
A. Oh Martin, what have you been up to this time. Isn't an ASBO enough for you?

Q13. Did you think about what will happen to your blog after you die?
A. No.

Q14. What do you like to hear? What's the song you might like to put a link to, in your blog?
A. Poison Ivy by Alice Cooper.

I would at this point very much like to thank my very patient and jovial nephew
Tortoiseshell for setting up this blog for me in the first place. If it wasn't for him I would never have had so much pleasure and met so many interesting people. Doing this blog has given me a certain measure of confidence about using computers, and I have now peeled off the sticky label that said 'on/off' by the start button as now I can remember where it is.

Tortoiseshell: mates with Scaredy, Plumpy, Elbi, Mahou and Beeps.

I would also like to thank Mr Maalie:

Maalie has been very helpful tweaking my blog from time to time. If I get him on a good day he can be very accommodating. And yes, he is forgiven for messing with my llama picture.

I now have to tag a few people myself. With great apologies I tag Maalie, Tortoiseshell, Ju's Little Sister, Raelha, Kiwi Nomad and Simon. I have deliberately left out TCA as he has other fish to fry at the moment, as it were.

The writing on this posting has come out as red on a black background - so it's really hard to read. Is it my computer?

Kiwi Nomad said...

No ann.... it is the font... but if you drag the cursor over it, it highlights and you can read it!
Flip... a tag... how can I compete with all those wonderful photos!
You'll have to wait for my reply.... lots of schoolwork to mark!

Martin Stickland said...

Oh dear oh dear! I have just been reminded about my home work (I got tagged too by Sue .. hey that rhymes! (but I suppose poo and Sue rhyme too... only joking Sue)

Hey! who is this Martin you question as to what has he been up to?

lorenzothellama said...

I don't know how to correct this. I have had such trouble with this blog. Maalie isn't here to help me either. Tortoiseshell, if you read this, can you correct the font? I have struggled and struggled, and even deleted the lot and re-written it, but it still comes out the same, red half way through the writing.

Oh help all you IT experts!

Anonymous said...

I would suggest that you copy all the text (text only) into notepad, or word etc. They delete the original posting, copy the text back into a new posting and re-insert the pictures.

I know it's a pain in the ar5e but once you've stuffed up the formatting on a posting it's very difficult to retrieve unless you know anything abou HTML (which I don't!).

Shammickite said...

The first few lines of this post are readable. Then everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, turns to black.
Somehow I mamanged to turn it to white and was able to read it and now it's gone again.
Have you been marked by the devil or something????

Thesaurus Rex said...

You could try going to faq on blogger help and they also have a section called known issues under help resources on dashboard page.(jargon, schmargon)Same colour font as background is however a great way of testing peoples sobriety, staying power and patience all in one go. I'm such a bar steward, I should work in a pub.

Kiwi Nomad said...

Could it be related to the photo immediately above it?
Not so sure about pasting into and out of word...maybe it is just Firefox...but I don't seem to be able to do that anymore myself!

Anonymous said...

It probably has to do with blogger. I think they have been having some problems lately.
I can read the first part of it. After a couple lines though, everything turns black.
Hope blogger fixes this....
*HUGS*

Gerald (SK14) said...

I thought you'd chosen red on black deliberately, but if it is just this one post then maybe it is unintentional

I've a link to some info on my post http://hydedailyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/07/red-roofs-and-colour-blindness.html

as commentators have said it changes color after one of the pics - it should be fixable if you edit the post in edit rather than compose mode.

Tortoiseshell said...

Ann,

Just a note in response to your previous note...

"Tortoiseshell - I have just tried to put a comment on your shiney new blog"

> New? My blog predates Lorenzos by 4 months!

"but couldn't, because you don't let non-bloggers on."

> Hmm - not sure what the problem is. You seem to have a blogger profile so I'm not sure what's stopping you from commenting. What message are you getting? Or - why not start a blog of your own!

Just wanted to say happy 'Geobirthday' what ever that means.

> Thank you! And many happy georeturns of the day to you!

Will you be having a geocake with geocandles?

Yes!

Pass the geoparcel?

Yes!

Blindman's geobluff?

Yes!

Musical geochairs?

Yes! And more! Yes! I need confessional! Yes! (Hope Taid isn't looking)

Where can I find out what geocaching means?

www.geocaching.com

Do you hide objects for other geocachers to find, or, (if its possible) is it more exciting than that.

There is a geocache in Poynton.

You mainly find caches that others have hidden, whilst occasionally hiding your own caches. You can also send "trackable items" (i.e. travelbugs and geocoins) on mystery errands from cache to cache, or around the world if you like.

Enough about the black and the fonts and the cursor and blogger; I love that necklace!

Martin Stickland said...

love the three llama shot

Halfmom, AKA, Susan said...

Oh you smarty pants - way to get me back!!! And the necklace isn't even mine - belongs to a friend who thought the particular shade of blue would be stunning with my eyes!!

What a funny and wonderful job you did - although I must admit, I had to run the cursor over the red/black areas so I could read the answers!!

Hi Lorenzo! You have a lovely way of saying things. Even though it has been difficult to read I enjoyed it all - especially the pictures!
Scaredy is still the picture on my desktop, much to Plumpy's disgust!

As to the problems with this post: If you go back into the 'edit post' for me and click on the little tab that says "Edit Html" (it is above the formatting selections and to the right).
Then highlight ALL the text in there and CTL+C to copy. Paste it into notepad and email it to me: sez (at) carbon12 (dot) co (dot) nz
If I can see the problem in the HTML I will let you know. I can also try posting it on Libramentum to see if the same mistake happens.

Cheers, Ju's.
Also - any questions on the above don't hesitate to email. It's not my usual address but I will take to checking it regularly this week ;-)

Blah blah yawn blah, My mum is such a bore, isn't she? But he studied a little bit about html and spent a little time helping her Great Uncle Rex with his blog.

Lorenzo, thank you for your lovely comments on my blog. I just KNEW I should have done it and not Mum. No one really reads Mum's blog anymore anyway. Only Simon. It's boring anyhoo.

I was flattered you put my photo on your post. It was already a very good post but putting me on there made it almost as good as mine.

Keep it up! (and I will make sure Mum works hard to help you with yours!)

LtL!!

I have remembered a sneaky way of looking at your blog so that I could see all that HTML nonsense without you having to send it to me.

I can see how to fix the colour problem, but to explain it would be difficult in the comments box. If you feel comfortable, please email me and I will write up a step-by-step guide for you (with pictures) on how to fix it :-)

Lorenzo,

I've just remembered that I'm not a member of the blog team any more (I resigned as you seemed to be getting on with it fine), so I'm afraid I can't help with the font question.

One way round it might be to change your template?

Once again, sorry that I'm unable to spend much time on the blogs at the moment. Lots of fish to fry, so to speak. But many thanks for the kind comments on the post about tagging.

I saw a live llama this weekend!

If you copy the text and redo it, use Notepad. There is some funky formatting thing in Word that comes out looking like random insertions of hieroglyphics.

Ju's little sister said...

Martin, was the live llama as pretty as the lorenzo llama?

You'll like this v. word LtL: wukilig

Scaredy and Lorenzo,

Mum has loved albino black sheep for years, but had never seen the llama before! Why were you in a racing car?

Mum watched 'wild boys' on her tv last night and they were in argentina dressed up as a llama. It was very funny. She tried to find it on You Tube for you but it wasn't there!

An egyptian v. word today:

Loyalty is a 7 letter word worthy of reciprocation. You got my vote, LtL. Good luck in there, and may the best spitting woolly mammal win.

I took this blog for dead as you're on your extended three month vacation. You know we work for a living over here.

Anyhow you must have people living on this blog.

Glad you remembered the beer, Martin. My wife brought me some home from Aldis, actually from Holland, Europe (I have to say that since we live near a Holland here). Good, especially on these remaining hot days.

lorenzothellama said...

I'm on a computer with Turkish instructions and it's not very easy to use and I only have a few minutes.
Learning how to capsize which I do regularly and am good at it.
A notice has just flashed up that I have five minutes left.

Lorenzo how lovely to hear from you! I have just made a new friend on the internet who hails from Turkey. Within the last 24hrs actually. He bombed my pirate ship and stole 33 gold coins, so I sent him a message and we got to chatting.

Later on in the evening I managed to bomb his pirate ship and stole 155 coins. Revenge is sweet!

Thank you for popping in Lorenzo, though I can't say that I blame you for being drawn to my blog.

ooo how nice to get comments while I'm away.
I'll deal with you later Martin.
What's all this about pirate ships and stealing gold? Can I join in?
I fancy a bit of pillaging and looting.
Turkey is very hot and when the wind blows all the boats go over. Unforntuately I can't take my camera on the boat because I would lose it, but there is a nice young gentleman who obligingly comes around with his camera and charges you an arm and a leg for the pictures, but I'll see how the liras are panning out at the end of the week.
Off to the Laser Pico now!
Love Lorenzo.

Kiwi Nomad said...

Ahhhh sounds like when we went kayaking in the Katherine Gorge. Spectacular views as you moved up river. There was an option to take a camera in a waterproof container.... but I am such a klutz and fully expected to tip the kayak, especially when getting in/out. Had visions of providing a meal for a crocodile. So didn't take the camera. But never fell out anyhow. (It was kind of a wide kayak rather than a canoe... I always fall out of canoes!)

Enjoy the heat of Turkey. I gather it is already cold in Edinburgh where the All Blacks play this evening. My cousins are going as they have just sold their dairy farm and retired, and can afford the horrendous ticket cost. But most everyone else will be watching it on the box if at all, as the Scots are fielding a second rate team, not their best.

Please come home and take my picture off your blog - or at least post from Turkey so it will move down!! - It frightens me to log and and see me staring back at me.

In all seriousness, when will you come home?
