Pepper - Rest In Peace

PEPPER 2005-2007

It is with great regret and sadness that I report the death of a much loved local character, Pepper Hicks. She was loved by all who knew her and is especially mourned by Ginger.

Pepper attended Cheltenham Ladies College and excelled in gymnastics. The headmistress writes "Pepper was a pillar of our community, a prefect and a potential head girl".

Pepper had her career mapped out for her. She was the standing Liberal Democrat councillor representating Poynton South and rumour has it she had intended to offer herself up for leader of the Party due to the untimely resignation of Mr. Menzies Campbell. Alas, her full potential will never now be realized.

Her funeral took place last week. She had a full Humanist burial service on a piece of land behind the Anson Road Amenity Tip that is dedicated to private burials and the scattering of ashes. 'Jeruselem' was sung while her ecologically friendly cardboard coffin was lowered into the ground. In other words, Peter took her to the tip and dumped her in a skip.

You are so funny (at least I think this was supposed to be a funny post)

Dating agency my arse!

I cannot even upload photos on to my blog now, are you having problems or is it just this PC?

The least you could have done was to have eaten the thing. It may have been a bit old and scrawny but you could have stewed it. Boiling fowls make excellent chicken pies and the stock is second to none. Fancy just dumping it!

Well yes, I did mention that fact to Peter. It wasn't even an old bird either.

Did Peter throw pepper away because she wouldn't fit down the toilet bowl?

How do you reckon we could get handsome young single men to come have a look at us on Martin's Comments Page? 'Cos if we can, it's a brilliant idea!

I don't see why being dead should have scuppered her political ambitions, after all it didn't stop Menzies...

Deepest sympathies.
Now she can ming instead of aspire to be Ming.
Strange thing is, we don't sling nearly enough politicians on the heap. I also don't believe they necessarily have to be dead.

In two years she accomplished more than most politicians do in several lifetimes. I commend her.

Hi Lorenzo,

I have finally managed to put up that post I mentioned on FB> (my blog, not plumpy's).

Plumps is standing behind me on the couch with his front paws on my shoulders, so I imagine that means "hello."

...

Yes, yes he has confirmed he would like to pass his love to you and Scaredy. He is however a little disappointed that Fairtrader is not a fan of his yet. He doesn't think she could be THAT busy ;-)

Some cats, eh?

Hello Lady Llama,

Thanks for coming to check out my new post. Yes dotard is a Word Imp, my very first entry wich I also won, amazingly. I said it was the one duck in the wrong flock when you were at the park feeding the ducks... I meant to put a footnote in to that effect...

I have three siblings - two older sisters, Mel and Ju, and younger brother who has a myriad of names.
I will post a comment on mine trying to point out brother's face in the glass. But first, off to Martins to read your message!

Rip Pepper, but I have to say I agree with Maalie. Just think, if you'd made her into a nice soup she would be a part of you forever more. Well, er until at least the next loo visit. Does anyone know how long Lib Dem fowl DNA remain in one's bloodstream? Oh dear this wasn't meant to be such a disgusting comment. I do apologise Lorenzo, it's clearly past my bedtime.

Hello Lorenzo dear - sorry for the long absence - damn having to work for a living. It is so very inconvenient to life!

Just looking whether you followed Maalie's counsel and dug up to serve it to him. ;-)

My cat ginger, literature major, i used to tell him to correct my spelling and grammer. My english bad. but ginger was poor in physics. ginger disappeared one day. sad day for me heart breaking. i suspect the gypsies.
ginger was my only admirer, my only fan. He used to watch me work, used to catch my fingers when i typed. but used to make me mad walking on the keyboard shutting down the system.
Love and Hugs Lorenzo

Oh no, not Pepper!
She will be missed. At least Colenel Sanders didn't get her.

BTW I have posted pics of The Wedding. Awesome!

Poor Pepper. A rather unceremonial end for such an illustrious chicken.
