Food Obsession

I've noticed Maalie is taking more than a passing interesting in his food and drink and is making time and taking the trouble to photograph it. What a good idea. I can do that too.

This is my lunch. Tinned tomatoes on toast with a smidgen of black pepper. Followed by

a cup of tea, milk, no sugar and

a couple of Digestive bickies and

a nice pair. Whoops. A nice pear.

You're making me hungry. I'll take two of everything there. Actually I eat less than I used to, and too much too late. Sits too well in the stomach.

I must confess that my lunch was even worse. :-(

Oopsie!
All I wanted to say that there are moment's in one's busy life when ... Oh gosh, I think I got a real conundrum here. Wait ... do you want to know what I had for lunch? Better yet, what I ate at "lunchtime"?

Well, dear sister, I hope that what I am about to receive from you for tea won't be tinned tomoatoes (or toffo or rhubarb or yoghurt).

What about a nice sirloin steak?

Sorry Maalie, no steak. It's bad for you. I have the best interests of your digestive system at heart.

Yum! No dead things in sight.

Yes I am still here Lorenzo, just being quiet in blog world and very busy in real world. My stupid email doesn't notify me of blog comments so I don't always get them unless I look.

I've no idea how long my absence will last. I'm as baffled as the rest of you. All fine though and that goes for The Weirdo as well!

Hugs and kisses xx

ps. WV is pooyis :-) (Still easily amused.)

Sounds delicious! No "candied pecans" to go with it, though? ;)

Thanks for the comment about the restaurant. I know of others who have problems with those pests in their homes as well, in some cities they are just a part of life. I know I should say something, especially since I will miss their tasty food. I'm not sure if I'm bold enough to, though. Maybe I'll send a letter?

I just wish someone would make all my food for me so I didn't have to bother.
I'm very lazy.
Then I could just take pictures of it.
Tonight new potatoes, real peas - podding required, turkey breast bits, and green beans.
So boring that it won't magick itself onto the table.

Tea, milk no sugar. I like your style Llama, I like your style.

Digestives are good too, also Girl Guide Biscuits (though I hear they've stopped using real girl guides) or Gingernuts.

Mmmmm.

No fresh-off-the-vines around yet? We got our first cherry tomatoes today. Divine.

Thanks for the note about the Penlee disaster, I had to look it up on Wiki, it's strange that I hadn't heard of it before, but I was living here in Canada in 1981 and perhaps the news didnt get this far. Perhaps I just don't remember. What a terrible thing to happen. Yes, the lifeboat men are brave souls indeed.
Mf friend's son was a volunteer on the Ilfracombe Lifeboat for a while, maybe he still is.
The sea can be pretty rough around the North Devon coast.
And in answer to your question, yes, I liked the East Anglia coast, I love being by the sea having lived by the sea all my childhood, but really, nothing compares to the seascapes around my home in North Devon!!!

I posted an extra bit about the Penlee Lifeboat, you might enjoy it!!!!

That cup of tea looks nice and strong.

Trouble with pears is there is such a short window in which they are good. When you buy them they are too hard and then a few days later they are too squishy.

LL.,
I made a wonderfully easy tomatoes and zucchini stew today, with lots of fresh basil. Had to think of your uncooked tinned tomatoes. Gives me tummy ache every time I think of them. Did you really eat them uncooked?

Merisi said...

Thanks for the good news!
Knowing that your tomatoes were cooked makes me sleep so much better tonight. ;-)

can't you get fresh tomatos in the uk?

"no dead things"? but the tomatos are dead!
Have you heard a lettuce squeal when cut?

I think I will have smoked salmon for lunch

Hi Lorro. Just thought I'd let you know I'm still compost menthol and the shed is about 75% done.
Quite difficult to find a nice pear these days. Nice pairs are everywhere, you just can't avoid them.
Hope all's well in LlamaWorld where you live.
Toodle-pip!

That was a rather poor blog! (said Jack rudely).
At least you didn't zoom up unimaginably close into the food like Japanese television programs do, turns my stomach it does!
